The simple things...

 

Finding a pristine piece of MDF 74cm x 60cm x 18mm whilst walking the cat this morning.

 

This is bet thing I've read today, who doesn't love finding MDF whilst walking the cat, my cat doesn't like MDF

 

My supervisor just returned from a business trip to Prague.
On the flight back, he discovered he was seated next to Spencer Wilding (most recent occupant of the Darth Vader suit), and got me a signed photo.

EDIT:- To add to the above, a pay raise just arrived!

 

Virgin have just resusitated our broadband after the kids coming home from school and finding "There's No Wifi!"
So much angst for 2 hours! And that's just me not being able to get on to B-T

 

4th session down, I had a few distinct pieces of imagery that I really wanted to use in a tattoo. I had somewhat of an idea of how I'd like it to go together but I sent him the reference images with the strict instructions of 'If you don't feel it fits don't use it' he's the artist and knows what he is comfortable doing and what's going to work.

I turned up rather sceptical, worried I'd hate the design and had wasted both our time. He'd used all the reference images and composed it in almost the exact same way I had crudely on Photoshop. What was weird is looking back to my email I had actually forgot to include the third image but he seemed to stumble upon it himself! I refrained from making comment because I was just happy he had came to the same conclusion. It looks incredible... I'm so happy with it. I'm about two sessions left off finishing the sleeve

 

My PC is still dead...

...the good news is the CPU, Mobo and RAM are not.

Just need to get a new PSU and a new SSD and/or HDD...

Last day at work tomorrow. Really sad as the people are awesome but redundancy payment and new job starting on the 6th of Feb softens the blow.

 

Last day of work today. I am officially unemployed!

No more getting up at 8 am to deal with idiot bosses and s**thead customers, no more having to fight to get a lunch or get off on time.

Unfortunately it's not sustainable, I will have to find a new job before long, but for at least a little while I can enjoy not working

 

Kinda reminds me of "Area 88"

 

Shall post a picture when its healed fully, I'm shedding like a snake currently so its not the most aesthetically pleasing.

Car passed its NCT without issue. So no unexpected expense. I'll need new tyres soon, but that was expected. Got it tested at the weekend too so no fluting about trying to get time off work to go and get it tested.

Dear me. 30g of pure caffeine would tickle a bit.

 

My bike. As stupid as it sounds it has just shown me what an amazing family I have.

Also my wife just bought herself a new phone. She was on a Blackberry Q10 for absolutely ages. I bought her a Windows phone but she couldn't use it because of her nails. Any way yeah, she finally ordered a Passport when I said a couple of days ago I was going to go back to mine.

She came running into the living room saying "hey this is awesome you can actually use the keyboard as a tracking pad !!!" and I said "Yeah babe, I know I have had mine for ages".

So nice to see her excited though
