Impressions after a few hours? 7/10. Needs a bit of balance tweaking and it's desperate for some better graphics when you select "Very High". Otherwise good.

 

If you've played it for a few hours you realise the t44 is quite op, but everything else is quite balanced and nice. Specially if you disable a tiger through HE Hetzer rounds and watch him burn to death.

 

I'm on the PzKpfwIV atm and it's so much fun. I love this game.

It needs work, but just having loads of tanks mulching about blasting each other is epic win.

 

Is this a simulation or an fps style game in tanks?

 

The latter, though it's a TPS really

 

It's not a milsim, no, but I wouldn't say it's quite as lame as your average FPS. Think Mass Effect-levels of technicality, a typical experience-based structure for upgrades and equipment, but with tanks.

If anyone finds themselves with the PzKpfwIV and wonders "Is it worth it to upgrade the gun to the 75mm L/70?" Yes, it is. The accuracy and range is top notch.

Then a bit later when you get bored of blasting the wings off a fly, and want something with a little more poke for urban situations, don't hesitate to get the 105mm L/38. With HE ammo it's almost like catching religion.

I've got up to the Tiger now, and I'm forcing myself to take a break and chill. I get too easily addicted by games like this.

 

I'm just at the stage (after playing 6 hrs today ) of trying to scrape enough cash together for a Level 3 tank.

I noticed a contacts list - my IGN is pimonserry if anyone wants to add (currently level 2).

 

Anyone got any spare keys? I always seem to miss out on stuff like this, and this game looks awesome with a capital AWESO. >.<

With the coming 0.5 patch iirc we'll be able to do some more advanced matchmaking too. [edit] Maybe not.

 

As good as it sounds/looks, I never have time to play MMO, I'd probably lose my job if I did.

 

Kinda getting into the groove with my Tiger now - killed 10 enemy tanks in the last round, including 3 KV's, 2 VK36's and a Tiger 2. Not just a case of a noob team either - I was the last one with 5 on the other team.

I wanted a screenie of the scoreboard but for some reason it didn't work...

 

My best result is 4 kills with my Pz3

I've now caught onto the 'having more than one tank' bandwagon, so I alternate between Pz3 and Wespe to try and earn more cash

I've seen 2 Maus in battles so far, and 0 IS-7s.

I got you down to 1% in one game though, someone else finished you off.

 

Didn't even see your name, I get the blinkers of hatred on. All too often I get raped by people though, especially when I'm the top tier tank on the battle.

I've seen loads of IS4's, at least 3 IS7's, two Maus' and loads of VK4502's. Lots of big *******s out there, most are on during the day.

Had an amusing moment just now - was running around a house after a T34 who was stopping me capping, went two revolutions until I looked at the house and realised it was squishy. Ploughed through onto an obviously shocked T34 guy who didn't know, then blasted him to bits. Awesome.

I'm credit farming atm, want to put a Tiger 2 in my garage, although I'm definitely never selling this Tiger. We've bonded.

...if by "in" you mean waiting for my painfully slow internet to download the files. *Sigh*

How does this game run, overall? I'm pretty much spot on the above average requirements they list, barring the internet connection.
