Sorry - I should have added a name:
    They're Flare Audio Isolate Mini's.
Earplugs made of Aluminium (titanium if you get the "pro" range) with foam tips.
The story is that they have better response across freqencies than "genero foam plug", which WOULD make them more suitable for my band prac (then I can hear what I am playing as well).
The REALITY is that they're probably rather hyped, expensive plugs from a premium manufacturer. But the hype got to me

You will have to tell us if they're any good. They'll have to be might impressive to beat the legendary Moldex 7700, green foamy silencer of the universe!

On a related note, are they dishwasher safe?

Or washing machine safe? or do they swell up and go funny colours?

I've been on the ear plugs for about a year now, really helps with sleeping.

Online feedback says "they're metal - do not sleep in them". But when practicing loud music inside a container with an acoustic drumkit involved, ear protection is a must. Ideally some where some mid range comes through, so I can hear my guitars.
So for me it's really about more than just "make things quiet".
I just needa volume dial for the ears... Hype in this case says yes, it can do that, but time will tell...

Your reasoning is sound nonetheless, as is the general purpose for these (in my case). :)

I found a motherboard block on eBay for one of my workstations that I have been searching for since 2013. Over the past three or four years I have emailed EK directly as well as every liquid cooling supplier that originally stocked this item to see if there was one left sitting on a shelf somewhere that I could buy. One finally came up on eBay in Australia and I grabbed it straight away! Take the small wins when you can.

Its great I can multicast using my phone as a remote which is amusing when you realise you can turn your stereo on from anywhere an control everything on it.
But yeah a really nice set of options decent output for my little bookshelfs an the actual sound seems more balanced less boomy
Handy bit though it supports bluetooth broadcasting so I can use my Bluetooth headphones an if I want to add wireless speakers.

I've some albums I still prefer to listen to on CD so makes sense, also aux drinks holder!

    Got this in A1.

Wanted Rita Hayworth (the actual one from SS R) but it was only available in Aus and I had a bad experience the last time I bought a £40 tank top for my lady, only to find DHL wanted £28 more on the doorstep. How I didn't thump him is a mystery.

A set of EMG Pickups (81/81, for those that are curious).
Full set, wiring and all for a price I simply couldn't refuse from a friend... Now all I need is a guitar to put them in.
