Thanks and yes I have always liked the 40-50's design era, when everything flowed together and chrome was more than just for show. :)

Yes I did test everything after painting and got a bios screen. :D
Nice to hear you like the finish too. :)

Thanks man. I seem to get a little carried away

Like how the motherboard looks, it's almost like how renders look when there's to much detail to get in the model. I like it. Brackets are super cool too :thumb:

Interesting concept. If you can't make the render complex enough to look like the real thing, make the real thing look like a render . . . :)

Glad you like it, there is just too much white writing on the mobo's :)

    Interesting view ChromA

Well I did a test fitting and ran into a small 2-3mm problem :wallbash: the HDMI connector was to big :duh:

no problem a file can't fix :naughty:

    the old view

    and the new

you will notice I also increased the arc to better fit behind the mobo. :)

a few things left to do.

I have kept you waiting long enough. :)

The build is finished and running.

As my wife wanted something cute and purple for FB and videos, I thought why not a flower.

Woah, total reverse of where I thought you were going with this thing! But it really looks excellent, and I'm sure your wife is pleased.

And now that I see it in natural lighting, I have to ask, how did you do that paint job?? It looks very natural the way the colors streak in to eachother. I've tried to create similar effects, but mine always end up looking like botched paint jobs :/

Thank you very much Cthippo. :)

Thanks ChromA and yes she loves it. :)

The painting, built up a thick coat in the three bands, then sanding random areas to varying depths, always up-down then re-paint with different colour layer -- repeat many times -- with the last few layers flat sanding until desired effect and the final layer was polished down to this, then clear-coated. :)

Thank you Boorach. was hoping for a surprise finish. :D

    Oh my! Great work dude!
Nice touch adding the monitor to it. Although it does hide away the whole thing. I don't know if that's good or bad really. Sure it looks awesome as is, but you're hiding some of the awesomeness too lol
Need to try make it a centerpiece in a room or something to show it off fully :p

    Great work, top notch :thumb:

This is a really slick concept with mounting the monitor and speakers like that. It really looks great. The paint job came out fantastic, and the case seems to be well laid out. Very nice job.
