    Two wins.

Hauled Big Chungus downstairs, because I have finally managed to find a new home for it.

Why is getting a TV downstairs awesome? Because: despite nearly dropping the corner of a ~60kg TV on my toes at one point, and despite feeling like I was going to fall backwards and be crushed by the damn thing at at another point, getting it down the stairs turned out to be a hell of a lot f'ing easier than getting the hefty and unwieldy barsteward up them. I was expecting a much harder fight.

It will not, however, be "making my life awesome" if the recipient doesn't turn up tomorrow...!

And also: I snapped my motorbike's key in the lock for one of the panniers a few weeks ago. Finally found time to look at it this evening (it required the combination of: me not being at work, it still being light outside, and no godsdamn rain); little bit of fiddling & wiggling with some lockpicks and I managed to fish it out pretty easily. Two panniers back in action - f'ing get in.... (Although I do now need a spare key... :sigh:)

Another software update on my phone, I got one three weeks ago and it broke the fingerprint scanner, it worked perhaps one time in fifty? Very frustrating.

Well they've updated it again and it's working again, which is important because due to the number of interruptions in my life I unlock it an average of 180 times a day (yikes).

First car driving lesson in well over a decade earlier, went pretty well. Obviously I do know what I'm doing on the road, I've had a full bike license over 7 years now - the instructor even commented afterwards that I was picking up on and dealing with hazards long before he would have needed to prompt me. I'm just not used to driving and maneuvering a car, so that's what I need to get used to.

Going to book the test for sometime in May - it's about time I pulled my finger out and got this sorted.

"If you could reverse park in that bay there please"

    "Certainly"

Well I did drive over one of our rubbish "sacks" a little bit when trying to pull into our driveway  (went out in our car earlier this evening to do a Tesco run). In my defence however it was dark and I couldn't see out the rear windows because they were fogged up :hehe:

I do hope that's a steak and not mince @BA_13 , you can never eat mince anything less than fully cooked.

Dammit, now I want a burger for breakfast

I’ve lived in the countryside most of my life but, I’ve never seen a live burger…

Thanks for the concern, It was a freshly seared piece of beef that was minced right before being formed into the burgers and cooked.

Although here in rural france it is quite common to get a rare burger when eating out and I'm not 100% sure that that would be prepared like this.

They are elusive and need to be called not herded, it takes a lot of patience.

If you know the quality and freshness of the meat, eating medium-rare mince burgers is by far the best way to do it. Just like a good steak (which is where the mince should come from) it simply tastes better that way.

Aye, I was just making sure as if it's just regular mince you have no idea what part you're eating is uncooked and whether bacteria on the outside of the meat has been minced into it.

I've got a poorly cat, I'm hypersensitive to everything at the mo, forgot to put the coffee filter in the machine so it had a mini flood and keep forgetting what day it is.

    My excuse anyway

The lawsuit I filed against my contractor just settled. That's all I am legally allowed to say about the matter, but this is a good thing for me. I can finally finish my house.
