    Also, if you type in 'Agenda 21' and then start typing 'conspiracy', it doesn't autocomplete. This is indisputable proof that there is a conspiracy and Google is one of, if not THE, sinister forces behind it.

    I've seen several of these takes, and... I don't get any of 'em. (Spoilers for Squid Game follow, you have been warned.)



    The whole point of Squid Game is that adults are made to play literal kids games, but with the twist that if they lose they die. Red Light/Green Light. Honeycomb. Marbles. Tug-of-War. Squid Game itself, which the opening scene clearly frames as a once-popular kids' game. Hell, even the bridge game is basically Deadly Hopscotch.

    So, all these "kids are emulating games from the hyper-violent show Squid Game" pieces basically boil down to... "kids play kids' games." Which... yes?

    Now, if they're donning masks, picking up MP5Ks, and shooting the losers, yeah, we've cause for concern. But otherwise... what?

    I mean... For a long time we banned nunchucks in media because "won't somebody please think of the children". So no, "kids playing kids games = bad" is not a shock to me at all.

    When I hear the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme in my head, I *still* hear the bowdlerised "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" of the original UK release...
