here is what i am getting from my 3 mobile internet
I had a ping of 500 while I was still in England. Well done, psychoti.
keeps getting faster!
Dont think so mate, I've got ~270Mbps from Speedtest.net before. I'm sure that the other normal web servers will be the limiting speed in normal surfing at those speeds, but the speedtest server must have some mega bandwidth attached to it.
yes but retesting with different servers gives different results, and also if i retested the same server, id get a different result again, which is fair enough i expect a few meg here and there to go missing etc, but we are talking about 10/20mb and sometimes even more difference
btw here's my home readings, my ping is quite high tonight, usually its 20ms or below, i always get a great ping on TF2 aswell
I think this speed test is a bit iffy sometimes.
This is my 10mb/s cable broadband that i pay about a tenner a month for.
I've had the service for about a year with no complaints at all, my download speed usually tops out at around 1.2MB/s.
It's a pity there are no speedtest servers here in scotland, the nearest one for me is hundreds of miles away in manchester so how on earth did i repeatedly get a speed of over 30mb/s
Here its my, abit slowew than I expect but better than nothing.
12mb roadrunner connection apparently w/ the speed boost stuff active. reget shows 2200k/sec sustained d/l with 20 connections open.
i was getting ~24mbps from the Cincinnati server (about 25 miles away) - chicago is about 300 miles. hrmm.
i'm not really sure how much i pay for just internet bits - it changed with the package deal. add on HDDVR, 2 premium channels ... it's about $140 / month for a rated 12mb/768k line.
i'll have to vpn to work and try it from there sunday when no one is there. i used to pull sustained 33mbps d/l speeds - and i'm pretty sure it was the 4200 rpm ide drive in my 810 holding it back.
Virgin Media 10MB - Its not always like this unfortunately, download speed is usually around 250-450KB/s via Wireless and direct connection to modem.
I pay waaay too much for this.
Worst ISP ever! Supposed to be 10Mb ha
UCL Halls are epic upload. If they hadn't been down for most of the last two days.
NOW we're talking.

Lol its amazing!
o2 Broadband here for nearly 2 years. Costs me a net £10.67/month - will be £7.34 once I start using some of the mobile phone credit I've been building up. Consistently get 84% of synch as usable data bandwidth
You can currently get 1yr of upto 24Mbps ADSL2+ Annex A service from them for a net cost of £13.11-£43.11 that's for the YEAR not per month
