Thanks guys, meanwhile i'm painting, in the waiting moment in these days, I started working on the bottom PSU cables cover and other important parts....

    1.jpg

The PSU cover will be fixed with some screws and magnets
    2.jpg

All the bottom area of the case will be covered with a plexiglas panel, in the following picture i'm making a prototype with PVC forex and after will transfer it in illustrator to get ready for laser cut
    3.jpg
I've also makes a 3D render to see how i can make it!
    4.jpg

Other important parts are the foots, firts, i've cutted the L shape case extension riser, added another L shape reinforcement, and finally maked a prototype of the foots with PVC forex, and they will be maked with CNC aluminium
    5.jpg

After, I've maked all the holes for the wires from the PSU
    1.jpg

Wrapped all the cover in matte black and sleeved a cable just to test fit the holes
    2.jpg

Also maked some holes for two 2.5" drives
    3.jpg

And finally i will use a multiple terminal to make a "central power unit" to connect all the devices, SATA, MOLEX, LED, etc...
    5.jpg

In the next days i will post more update!

Here are the second part, but before the worklog pictures, i have to announce a big news for this project and also future projects!
I've stared a collaboration with an Italian company that make high quality sleeved cables with MDPC-X materials! They make very cool cables set that you can config as you like, or if you want to D.I.Y you can also buy the materials from the main website ----> HARDWIRE

    HARDWIRE.jpg

So with the materials supplied by HARDWIRE, i started to make some new aviator connector for my PSU!
    6.jpg 7.jpg
    Painted some bolts in silver....
    8.jpg

And after some time this is the final result!

So guys i've finally painted the case frame! Don't care about the unpainted MB area, i need clear metal to have a ground connection, it's very important!
    1.jpg

So I've installed the LED strip for the I/O illumination
    2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg

I've also maked an hole behind the CPU and some little holes behind RAM, so they allow better passive heat dissipation
    5.jpg

And this is a preview of the color of the central parts of the case shield!
This is a special paint, made of matte grey with micaceous and metalized effects! (the photo is taken with flash, so you can see reflections...i hope...i will try in the end to take professional shots)

You won't need the bare metal the threading on the standoffs will take care of the grounding

Yes i know, but in my project this way didn't work, because the MB support plate it's separated from the case frame, so the only connection are the clear screws that you can see...in the previous pages you can see the work done to adapt the ATX MB plate

Thanks, i really appreciate your support! I'm working hard to try to finish the mod ASAP, but the time in my life is very short! i can do the bigger work only in the weekend :(

About the lighting, i really hate the A-RGB, so my project will not have this kid stuff , but will be all single color R.G.B with some pure white 5000K spots!

So another working weekend, this week i be able to make some new parts for the project!

These are the side PSU panels, glossy black acrylic 3 mm
    1.jpg
After i make the backlight panel, recycling parts from a broken LCD LED display
    2.jpg
Installed the parts with RGB LEDs
    3.jpg
In the front there is a mirror chrome film
    4.jpg
And this is the final result! Very smooth lighting!
    5.jpg

These are the case foots, for now without holes like the concept, but i think i will do very soon....
