    Just a quick hello

Well as for the one question earlier you can buy just the shells but i prefer these kits as they are more realistic in there details then the lexan body kits that you can get for RC cars as these are just empty plastic shells and lack the realisum of these. But that is just me one of the things i like about doing these is trying to keep the cab in one peice so it still looks like the vehicle.

But should have some more updates on the truck tonight as i now have a better camera as well as a few more peices so now can move ahead.

    Motherboard mount

Well got the parts i needed today so i managed to get the motherboard tray installed and lined up.

Here is a pic to give you and idea what the vid card should look like this was just something i did real quick in photoshop so yah i know it sucks but should give a little better idea.

But enough of that for now still have a ways to go before i get to this

Here is the motherboard mount that i made for this it is pretty straight forward

Here is the front of it

    Then we fit the Harddrive

    Now for the Motherboard

Lets hope the cab still fits

Well so far so good now to see what the body looks like

    Well looking good so far

    A veiw from the top

Ok now this is starting to come together unfortunatly thanks to :wallbash: Canada Post my riser card and a few other peices are not here yet but should be in by monday. :waah:

So going to do a few of the other fitting peices as we go.

PS looks like i might be able to save the RC part of this project so it may still drive keeping fingers crossed.

Actually if you look i am turning the vid card and the orientation is now over the CPU as apposed to most riser cards where it is over the empty slots on the motherboard

The CPU will be water cooled like the Hummer so no issue with clearance for the vid card and the vid card will be over the mohterboard so it will be over the ports of the motherboard. which should somewhat center the fan from the vid card ther will be a cover over it all where the only peice showing will be the vidcard fan.

But the pics from earlier should give a better idea

    Looks very cool.

That car must be huge if its 1/6 scale :eeek:.
I looked it up on the Chevy site and the real car is 191.4 inches (15.95 feet), meaning the car you have is 31.9 inches (2.66 feet)!!! :eeek: I never realized how big the Hummer PC really was. You should take some pics of it next to you for comparison.

Wow, I looked up the Hummer and its 189.8 inches, smaller than the Chevy ... weird

Actually you are pretty close the SSR pickup is (2ft 5in) long the Hummer is a little shorter at (2ft 2in)

Never really paid attention to that kind of interesting.

Was more worried about the inside stuff and if it would fit . :eyebrow:

Been buying them at Canadian Tire as well as Walmart.

Been thinking of getting them right from manufaturer as the stock on these is iffy at times easy to find during the holiday season but gets harder as summer comes.

My only question is, are you going to have it painted like the hummer? If so, FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

And not those mono color crap flame either, I'm talking yellow-orange-red and a bit of blue flame!

Secondly, you have to mod an RC boat. Its written in stone now, you have to.

Lastly, I cannot wait until this is finished.
