    Update 17

And as told a new update. Before grinding of the polyester (red material ) I use a grinder, by hand this hardly a option

That is going a bit faster by hand

Oke this far beyond finished, still in the buildings fase

There need tob e some changes on the top. Just putting a layer extra on it ( again )

This has to cure, sol ets grind

For the curves I use the Dremel

Still there are peaces where I cant use the Dremel, then I still got the file

    .
Also here a lot has to be done but it has a good shape now

Also using the file for its legs

And then the transfer from its leg to its body looks likes this

Is it still possible to lift this thing how heavy is it going to be …….
Well I told you earlier it is going to be heavy, but it still possible to lift see :p

    Until tomorrow :p

    Looking good
One thing, in the last photo the head looks oversized for the body.
It looks like you have the attention to detail to pull this off, not many people would be able to.

The polyesterfibre needs aprox. 12 hours to really cure. So what is done the day before is now able to be finished

The Top still wasnt what I really want ( still peaces wich were dirty ). Now it is gone

@ the same time with the polyester I made the shape of the wing

Then further withe transfer of the head to neck

One of the difficult peaces to plaster. Really impossible to do with a plasterknife because the plaster is on the bottem of the knife. Then a blob on the brush and spreading it.

On the other side of its head are also coming some of this bombs. The first one aprox there.

    The second one there

Plaster is cured a little faster, so now we are going to grind

For some peaces I use the file with wrapped around it a peace of grindpaper.

But usaly I am doing it first by hand, then you can really feel if you are going well qua shape.
With a file you are only able to seee it. ;)

If a might say myself, the head is starting to look very well. Its Shoulder is also been done with plaster, this is to get rid of the weldings etc.

    And agiang going to grind.

And also this peace looks better then before.

Enough for today. See ya all tomorrow

    Update 18

    An another day for file

    And more and more file

Only just cheking if I am still in the good direction.

I am in the good direction but still not good enough. For the change I am brushing instead of file. ;)

Also beginning to start putting the first layer on its Face

I again made to much of it, no problemo I can use it here.

I already worked the nail yesterday. Today I am using the file to work it better.

A little bit ontop and also this one is almost finished.

Also brought on the first layer around its ear, I maybe got a lot of patience but I almost ran out of it here 

What is the differance with the top photograph ????? On the left down its ear I went to low but now not any more. ;)

Still a little bit and fase 2 of its head is finished The biggest part.

    Uodate 19

Sometimes things go well and sometimes things go wrong. I kicked a peace of its wing, stupid me. It was only attached with a well-knit, I was forgotten to weld it.

BUt thnx to a auxiliary troop in the shape of a weldingdevice, its attached in notime.

I had to turn because on the other side I have more light. So I took the liberty to make a distanced photograph of it. No success imo, you cnat see any detail. ;)

Going inside as fast as I can and going further with the grindingmachine

Just one layer with the brush

    And again scrubbing.

Made another bumb @ its ears

Then I going slowly downstairs to its legs. First a big klot of id.

After the brush is been there….

    Then continue with its tail.

I tell you: later alligator, the day is long not gone…. Maybe I am putting tonight a second update online. :thumb:

    Update 20

Sometimes you are so busy you kinda forget to make pictures. The Dremel fase is because of this reason not been photographed. The ones with grindingpaper is.

Also here you have to clean it with thinner to make sure you can look if everything is symmetric.

The backside has already been fixed with plaster ( already ).

Left nothing has been doen yet, rightside the first layer of plaster.

It looks so easy, but this also a hard job to do, the thickening on its nail.

The combination brush and plastic plasterknife is not as succesfull as I hoped it was.

Then Ill try it with 2 platic plasterknifes. In this fase it is already curing otherwise it wont work

Then you can put a bit more pressure on the material and slowy pull it to the front. The plastic plasterknifes are living of the thinner otherwise the polyester stays on the knifes.

The shape is finished. First lettin git cure

Rightaway start doing its tail with the grinder.

So then after doing that slowly putting the plaster on it.

On the right side of its mouth it needs to get some little more plasterfibre, but i ran of that. So then I am going to strat with the last layer of plaster to fill up the little holes. Before the liquidplaster goes over it. OFcourse again I made to much of it, I only need it for its mouth.

Then I just put the rest on its head.

This is grindig itself very easy, so this makes it a bit easier.

    En nog meer schuren.

And then almost everything is away again, ;)

And an other one of the other side

    See you. ;)

    update 21

I just bring those empty cans to the carbidge dumb. ;)
Meanwhile the polyester has cured, time to file.

Just to put a new layer on it

This has to cure so lets work on its claws to get rid of some junk with the Dremel

This is a peace of Dremel advertising, becauso also @ its elbow ( I jsut calling it that way ) is the Dremle very handy to use.

    And again. :p

But to get it nice and smooth……. Grinding it by hand.

    Look 

And also @ its leg the Dremel comes inhandy.

    .
Just to be able to put a new layer on it.

And ofcourse we have to grind again.

Now it is starting to look like a claw imo. :p

Just looking if the radiator still fits, and it does 

Slowly the front is almost covered in plaster.

Let see if photo 300 is coming online today. Its still early so who knows. ;)

    Update 22

Meanwhile the plaster is cured so the transfer can now be grinded.

First processing the transfer from body to case with a file.

Then we are starting to get rid of the seals.

    Also with the other side.

His other leg is now also got a klobb of plaster.

    The brush does the rest.

And the last peace of its head in the plaster.

Just a little bit of plaster job. Some ajustment @ the difference in plaster and I am off to the next fase. See you all tomorrow.

    Update 23

Just a little bit of plaster job. Some ajustment @ the difference in plaster and I am off to the next fase.

    Filing the nail first

Then grinding, looks like there is now end for this work.

The second one is better then the first if I might say

    This is the polyesterfibre. ;)

    Adding some curing

    And alos mixed.

Now lets go on with grinding its but of the body.

    The curving with the file.

Then adding some grindpaper @ the file.

With a few points almost finished to add some sprayplaster, so after this we can spray.

Only its shulder needs the plaster fixed on it. @ its back is already been fixed with a layer. ;)

Sometimes it looks like if plaster looks better then if its not been grinded.

    But sometimes it does ;)

And what do you think of the tip of its tail............ looks worse doesn’t it?

Also here counts that plaster can make a differance. NotI am here ;)

Also its right claw is now being fixed with a secind layer.

    Adjusted the left a bit.

Right side of its nose had to be done too. Also here are knobs but Ill do that some other time.

Also the backisde is now fully been plasterised.

Lets go on with the structure of the piramide en spraying the inside of the case, but before doing this make sure averything is dustfree.

    See ya later ;)
