I've seen a few cases chopped up like this but this one looks so perfectly done, you've gotten me thinking about case chopping instead of scratch building with seeing how if done right can look this good lol . The fan controller bezel looks pure excellence, very nice fit .
People these days just don't read Will the top "case" be bolted down? I don't want to think what would happen if someone knocked the top bit off the main case
No it will be detachable for transport etc using Koolance quick disconnects to make life easy - its weighing in at 7.86kg without water or fitting so doubt it will be easy to knock off but i am going to have some notches in the 840 below for the feet to lock into just to be on the safe side Cheers for the feedback chaps, you rock
These quick disconnects are very nice, looks like the ones used in hydraulics systems on heavy machines, only scaled down. The bevel looks great too =)
Great work on the new face plate for those fan controllers. Are you going to be using the controllers just for fans or will you be connecting the pumps up to it as well? I also really like the bay reservoirs, they look so cool. With the face plate, did you use a router to bevel the edge or did you do that by hand?
Thanks for the feedback Couldn't resist doing a bit of a mock up held together with bubble gum and string
is it just me that thinks those exposed fans look the nuts like that? wish i could leave em nekid like that when i will eventually watercool my case. tho i wont as i have kids in the house:/
the fan controler bezel looks great, but I think the whole front of the radiator box looks a little strange. the fan controlers are too far down. Is it possible to shrink the name plate above the fan controlers and move them up?
Hey Paul, I'm glad to see you back again with what I'm sure will top your previous work. Your fan bezel looks fantastic, and I cant wait to see how this continues to shape up. Loving the rad box, I've been thinking a lot about something similar for my next mod. Awesome as always.
this. Fan controllers should be int he vertical center of the top box, with the same brushed black aluminium below it as above. Don't get me wrong, this is shaping up to be another fantastic mod. Just looks odd to have the silvery metal off center. Maybe if that were black it wouldn't look so strange but I am not sure...
My apologies for the delay on this and should get back on track after Multiplay LAN at the weekend Massive thanks to Vincent at Bitspower who shares the same birthday as me Got the extended motherboard tray all made up and added the rails for it to slide in and out but took photos with wrong WB and they came out crap so i'll have to take more pictures once it stops raining. Also the front bezel SR-2 logo which i did have the correct setting on the camera and added some scrap red plexi behind but the plan is to fill up the logo with red Crystal Resin so its flush and light it from behind.
