That's absolutely fine , if you don't like it you don't... Being so small I wanted to keep it very simple, that's how I felt about it, and no I don't thing there is anything exotic coming with the finish either, sorry ... anyway Cubo is my quick side project as I'm building it to use it myself, and I will start to work on Beta right after I finish it which will be sometimes later his week I hope. Still, thanx for your opinion
Of course I didn't read that part from the first post. If it's not too late I'd like to take my comment back. You are absolutely right. This being a functionality governed build the design is great indeed. Take your time with this (BETA can wait) and the end results will be excellent
Thanks again mate! That's fine JA12, but check it out once finished, maybe you will like it a little bit...
Another update with bit a more progress, whole chassis is now complete, painted, with PSU and DVD writer installed , Power and reset switches sleeved and hot glued in their place as well ... Still need to sort out few cables and also need to wait for delivery as I ran out of paint while painting shells.
Thanks guys, you are pushing me forward one more photo of sata power cable I sleeved today. I'm not really sure why I'm doing this as most of these cables will be hardly visible trough that single dark prespex window
Thank you Attila. No, it's not powder coated. It's just hand sprayed, with hycote grey primer and double acrylic bmw alpine white which is concentrated paint and shouldn't need any extra top layer. But I will also use clear lacquer for shell for extra surface protection...
It's not long, before all standard-PCs getting cramped into 10 litre boxes by default, when dedicated GPUs become unnecessary for most applications.... :waits for Llano:
Thank you John. Yes, sff really seems to be on the rise... Intels' integrated gpu didn't impress me much, maybe AMD will. If they will manage to deliver the technology next year... finally...
All previews of the Llano are saying that the GPU-part will be a Redwood-chip, which is nothing else then the chip currently used on a HD5550 or HD5650. This is actually enough to play games like Left4Dead at 1280x1024 and low/medium settings.
it looks good in white, would have prefered it in raw metal but i think you shouldn't have painted the screws
I know, you were against painting from the start , but I just wanted it all white including screws. Plus, I can unscrew them if I need to, but honestly, I take them as a permanent join, and I hope I will never need to touch them...
