Same, they gradually broke their .co.uk site and I was happy to find this oasis in the desert arount that time.

Such as shame, I still come here regurlarly despite not posting much. Glad you won't be looking at Future. I commercially know them quite well and there is no sunshine there for a site like this.

Yeah we were picky about who we wanted the site to go to. There had to be stuff in place that kept bit-tech bit-tech. May I ask how you know them commercially? Personal message is fine.

@stonedsurd - Ah, "Alex Jones of Windows technic apartment." We meet again. Stop calling my mom.

I'm seeing a lot of people admitting to lurking here. You want Bit to survive? Start posting a little! The project logs are scary quiet.

I'm guilty of browsing and not posting. Need to fix that.

If replies on this post are anything to go by then I think the forum will continue on for a while yet. The articles never drove the traffic anyway from what I could see, same people commenting on those as were already in the forums. Here's to hoping. Shame about Bit though.

I usually only click through to the articles via the forum - and even then only rarely if the article is interesting to me via the headline. I much prefer the forums as I don't tend to have much of a social life due to work/ family commitments. This is my little piece of social sanity as I don't frequent FB/ Insta/ Twits/ Ticketytocks or Reddit.

After what's felt like an age of waiting everything can finally be public. After 5 years of being at BOXFX going from an apprentice to leading software I'm now working at Corsair as a Senior software developer. What's even better is I'll still be working with the exact same world class team from BOXFX and in the same setup but with even more resources.

It's such a cool opportunity to be working for a company I've been using for 10+ years and have been working with for nearly 5 years. Thank you to everyone both public and behind the scenes that has made this happen.

    HOW DID I MISS THIS???

Thats really sad! So many memories for me, my got-blown-way-out-of-proportion watercooling thread being a massive one! I swear that got me into an assessment day at Intel Swindon (although sadly I didn't get a job!). So many people on here I've been chatting with for over a decade on/off! I'm glad the forums will remain, but TBH the sites content hasn't drawn me in in a long time. The ocasional news article perthaps, but other than that it lost its sparkle a long time ago and just became another review/article site. Would be great to turn it over to the community for us to publish to, although I'm sure the writing quality would suffer :p

Thank you. It's been quite the journey from being an apprentice here to being one of the top developers at Corsair at 24. Now I have to fix the things I've been complaining about for the last few years :dremel:

Official Linux support for RGBvomit products when?

(Disclaimer: I don't have any Corsair RGBvomit products, so for all I know there already *is* official support for Linux. Probably not, tho'.)

In all honesty, though: congratulations, mate!
