    Top panel & panel between HD's and mobo area in place!

    Hi all :)

    I placed the top panel and that panel between HD-area and MOBO-area.

    Now... I didn't measure hd-area's lenght accurate enough. So sadly I wasn't able to fit that aluminium fan INSIDE the hd-area after fitting IDE-cables :(

    And my computer almost got on FIRE today :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: I will be posting pictures of that situation later...

    I've always wondered what a plexi case painted white on the inside would look like (and i've often considered making one), but now you've answered my question; it looks amazing!

    the outside of the case looks awesome when its white, kinda like a big block of ice :)

    Yes it does look like ice :) That's exactly the look i was after, and I am amazed on how it turned out...

    BTW: I'm posting these all posts with that computer ;) So it's operative all the time :rock: (turned off while modding obviously)...

    Woohoo... this case rocks. :rock:
    BUT... and yes there is a 'but'... in my opinion you really should change those red LED's on your mobo. I mean all blue, chrome and white except those LED's? Naaw... :D

    yes, you are right. And i've thought about it many times, but.... there's SO MANY tiny components (and many layers of wires) on the mobo surface there, that I would probably end up broking my mobo :(

    Those capasitors that I soldered were a bit different: there were room around those to work.

    Melting wires...

    Here are the wires for LED lighted case feets:

    As you can see, placing ridiculously thin wires between tightfitted PSU and plexi results in..... SHORT SIRCUIT !!! HAH ;)

    And that current (3.3v) was taken straight from "wakeup" line of the PSU.

    My home smelled of melted plastic for hours and those little wires burned my fingertips quite nicely ;)

    But..... let the modding continue :dremel:

    ...that I use to power ON/OFF my computer.

    Phase two (in the distant future, far far away) will be including Fanbus, Temp-display behind sidewindow, Lan-led on frontpanel.

    SWEET paintwork! That combo turned out nice. I also love the motherboard cover idea, I've seen it a few other places but not with perforated metal yet...that looks tight. Have you thought about covering the video card as well? Those monster heatsinks look a little sore-thumbish.

    all i have to say is wow. awesome case. i have to say you have some balls messing with the motherboard. but all turned out well. what are you using as the on/off switch?

    Bought that from "Bebek" (small Finnish electronics shop). Cost about 30€.
    Switch is made by KEMO (German DIY -kit manufacturer)
