Awesome, got me a GD65 from Scan and picked up a 1Tb Hitachi 7K1000.B drive for £48inc VAT whilst I was at it. Got my i5 750 from Novatech earlier today for £149 inc VAT with free postage. Goodbye E6600 - you've served me well this past 3 years. Definitely WON'T be eBaying these new purchases!

All I need now is for X25M G2's to come back in stock, ATI to launch their DX11 cards, and my Windows 7 pre-order DVD to arrive.

For once, being an early adopter has worked out cheaper!

Crikey - that was quick! Was just about to duck out of the office to be sure I was back for 1:59pm as well - glad I didn't! Shame on anybody who decides to profiteer from this.

GD65's are still in stock though.

Should be getting all of my parts in the morning to go in my "bench" rig. (an old butchered atx case with some metal shelving unit attached.)

Well from what I have seen on "previews" over the net, the gd65 really isnt all too much slower at all than the gd80.

I have an 750 to play with. I will "borrow" 2 sticks of ram out of my 920 rig (as I have 12gb I will go down to 6gb for a while) and then when everything is up and running I shall have me some overclocking fun! This way I can review my gtx285 Matrix that asus gave me without removing my 295s from my system.

And then when I have finished with it Ill put it up in the adds section in here for £60 inc vat and postage and thats a promise so watch this space ;)

What exactly is the difference between the GD80 and GD65? Is the only real difference in the overclocking side of things? I'm not too interested in pushing it too hard.

:( so, it seems that I'm not getting a cheap GD65 - price went up for me on the very last stage before I completed the order...

yup, that happened to me with the GD80 that I wanted, ended up with a GD65 so I don't know whether to be happy or sad ... :wallbash:

And that happened with me on the GD80 :wallbash: I'd assumed that once I was in the stage of checking out I'd be have a cheap one reserved for me...

Lot of people seem to have gotten unlucky with this one. What with CCL starting way early, then Scan claiming on Hexus that they would wait 'till 2pm, then starting themselves around noon. OcUK have just been milking it for profits, but that's no surprise. Ebuyer left I suppose.
