I know the project isn't finished yet but it's getting pretty close to completion.

Can I ask you guys to please honestly rate my project log/project?
I gave myself a 4 because i'm proud of it but i can see all the flaws

    Thanks in advance :)

Looks good. Can't wait to see what becomes of it.

Not sure on your final plan for the big LCD, but I would remove it from the casing and put just the LCD screen in that front window spot. The plastic will detract from the overall look.

BTW, can you PM me where you got your Sony PSOne LCD from? I would be very greatful.

Well I recieved my UV reactive Green power supply cover with 80mm fan hole

the fan is a UV reactive green one with 4 UV LEDs inside with an aluminum mesh fan filter on it

    What do you guys think?

yes i know the fan is "supposed" to go on the inside not the outside. I did this to help give it more breathing room and help spread UV light around the case better as well as eat up a little bit more room in this big box.

I think it looks pimp as hell, was easy to install and kinda chear.
    Here's where i got it from http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/psc-06.html

That's a nice PSU, I look forward to seeing the finish of this mod. But the PSU doesn't quite fit the color of the case :/

The outside of the box is yellow, the inside is going to be green from UV reactive stuff with UV lights and green cold cathodes, then a lot of the other stuff is black or silver. I think you might change your mind with some finished project pics. :D

    Ok picture time....

I have finished painting, sanding, and polishing most of the parts. I have gona ahead and remounted the visor thingy that was used to protect the front. <PLEASE NOTE THE COLOR IN THIS PIC IS CRAPTASTIC not how it really appears>

Today I have to go to work and make some money, but hopefully I will have some time afterwards to get more the interior completed.

You know, there is enough room in there to put in a softdrink dispenser. Just think, your mod could pay for itself and you could quit working! err, well maybe not.... never mind :wallbash:

the green PSU is not to my liking but it should work good for what you want it for, and that sux that you can't have just the LCD showing, ah o well, this still should be nice in the end, following this one :thumb:

trust me, we questioned him about the color-combination, but now that it's all coming together, i see how it's all supposed to work.

the boy's got some smarts :D

Vaz said he "wanted people to recognize the case mod from an airplane" ... i think it's bright enough for that ;)

OK, my deadline is fast approaching and I only have 1 day left to finish this box.

    So far I have...

    1) finished the paint and first coat of wax
    2) installed the 4 120mm Thermaltake fans using rubber grommets
    3) installed all the fan guards and filters
    4) installed and bolted in the Uninteruptable Power Supply
    5) added some noise killing foam (yes, this thing is gonna be loud)
    6) glued the control panel for the UPS to the front of the box
    7) attached the side window panels
    8) reassembled the majority of the box (only the top closing mechanism left to attatch)
    9) installed and wired up the 4 cold cathodes (2 12inch green/ 2 12 inch UV)

I'M SORRY I HAVE NO PICS OF THESE STEPS

It seems the next pics I post will likely be the final glory pics.

THINGS LEFT TO COMPLETE IN 1 DAY: (tomorrow)

    1) cut sand and mount 7 more pieces of diamond plate
    2) mount the main LCD monitor
    3) mount the mobo, PSU, and HD
    4) cable management (hide as many as possible)
    5) install Linux

wow, tomorrow is going to be a LONG day

Well, if I live through tomorrow, the finished pics should be up soon.
