The projekt will only contain smal configurations, forming plxi and other things that makes the case look better. Coolermastern is offline for now..

The satisfaction is hight at this moment :thumb: (the habit has cougth me with handbars again :wallbash: , since its pritty serious.. )

    Coolermaster, Wavemaster Black

This case shall be returned couse the differense on what you get for your bucks differs quite a bit between the two cases.

I were going to put a fanbus inside the case between the external contacts.

Snice the Coolermaster dosnt have a removal HDD tray like the PC-6070, its more practikal solutions on the PC-6070 for me.

And the functions on the Coolermaster are few compared with the PC-6070.
Then again its ofcourse my taste, and I dont balme Coolermaster users, its still a great looking case. :thumb:
But I think I would tired a bit faster with the Coolermaster..

    ThermalRight XP-90C (600g)

Cooling updates it whont be many of, but I bought a XP-90C (c for copper).

    Crucial Ballistix Tracer

Since the comuter whont be a benching-rigg, or will it? :) , with that cleard it was time to get two "normal" 1GB moduls

Crucial Ballistix Tracer (with some disco leds on the topp witch realy isnt my tast). But in overclocking Iv heard quite a about this pair.

Worked some with bios 5.10 XCEL2-LL to the DFI Ultra-D board.
But the sticks wouldent go abow 250 3-3-5-3.

Iv now tried Oskars later version. 704-2BT.
Will try to reach atleast 280 with 2.7-2.9V

And it whent better than I would have hoped, its quite amazing it can differ so much with the latest bios:

And if I understand right, its possible to reach higher clocks with the right Tref

    TREF 15.6 7.8 3.9 1.95

FSB values for a TREF value
    1552 99.5 199 398 796
    2064 132 265 529 1058
    2592 166 332 665 1329
    3120 200 400 800 1600
    3632 233 466 931 1863
    4128 265 529 1058
    4672 299.5 599
    1032 66 132 265
    1296 83 166 332
    1560 100 200 400
    1816 116 233 466
    2336 150 299.5 599
    1168 75 150 299.5
    1536 98.5 197 394
    2048 131 263 525
    2560 164 328 656
    3072 197 394
    3684 236 472
    4196 269 538
    4708 302

    Länk

    Did it work?

    Before with Tref 2560:

    And after with 1032:

Reached my goal 295FSB. Thou its not entierly stable in more demanding aplications, but with driving win and PS/Premiere and so on, it couldnt nearly reach win before this Tref value no mater witch voltage..

So try different Tref values untill you find the best one for you.

    GTO²

Got an anxious need of a need video card so I orderd a Sapphire GTO² from UK in thursday evening. Well, it weights! Either the cooler is made out of steel, or its the havies card I own. (Its steel ;))

Lets see if there will be any 16 pipelines instead of 12.. :thumb:

    Project starts for real! [2005-11-04]

    Finaly!

Iv just started the actual build, and Im so happy after just one good and demanding modding day.

Im going to introduce a friend. Everything is done manualy etc, so no CNC-machine here, witch you are a bit proud of ;). Its quite stimulating to get the precise measure that the machine requires for a good result. Anyone know what this is caled?

Anyway, a bottom of a used printer. Something that would be the steel peace that I would work with, but uneasy to work with, so it became a 1mm steal from ClasOhlson

    SLK 948 Über

Hade in mind to rebuild a SLK 948U to a effective air cooler, with a shroud and a Delta 60mm, witch hopefully would give the GTO² something to put its teath in. Its not finiched yet as you can see, but will be in a near future :thumb:

Ooo yeah, havent feelt this releaved feeling then after a 5h heard work, witch showed some results. The habit (modding/computers) are near to explode, but its cool.
But my girlfriend, this anit good for the relation or the mind on me. Dont know how much you think of it, but my little grey mass of brain has modding/computers more in the head than sex! Just as an expression, but beneth al deskussions I have the computer lies beneth and steals atention.

Well well, todays work results. :thumb:.

Another evening whent past. The fanbus are made of a Sunbeam Rheobus and black alu weels from ELFA.
The thought was to put a plexi pease, blue color, ontop on the fanbus, witch will have another fanbus abow. So there will be two abow eatchother.

Was it worth, I wouldnt recomend to jame / stuck in this ****. :thumb:

    More later on...

Nice :) very nice... But, as you stated at the bottom of the last post, the shroud has to be more "open"... There's no way the (hot) air can get out of the heatsink/shroud.

Lot's of succes on the rest of the project

Maybe better to use some perforated alu for your shroud. Maybe meshX or something. It's also better to bent so it will be much neater. Because that shroud sucks. :p

The rest of your work seems pretty fine!
    Succes!
