i wouldnt have the windows on the drive bays, as they are UGLY, unless you plan on doing some thing to them... [RANT] also, next itme you need somehting for your case, instead of aksing repeatedly where in walmart it can be located, GO TO WALMART AND ASK, as every walmart i have been to has different arraingments, ans differents organization. [/RANT]
ya sure walmart will have different layouts of the sections (paint in the southern part of the building, automotive in the north etc) but usually bondo is where it would be in all places (auto i guess) paint will always be in paint, drills will always be in the tools that shouldnt change
Ok well i went to walmart and spent 98 dollars! i bought sand paper (shoulda gotten a variety pack), spray paint (6 cans), some dremel bits (carbide cutter and diamond set), sanding block, bondo, screws and some other stuff i cant remeber, id get a pick but im too lazy Soooo anyways i started to cut my dragon window i only cut that much so far, my discs arent small enough yet thats all for now
Don't forget what I've posted in your other thread. I've only used dremel discs for my first and second side panel so I can't give you advice on how to use the carbide cutter and such. Because the discs were too large, I used them for the large sections untill they got smaller. Then I saved them up and finished the large parts. After that I did the smaller parts - edges - corners etc. etc. with the smaller discs. @adamjones01101 I saw his design; the edges and corners aren't that tough. Remember, I've only done two side panels so far with the first one a dragon concept and 2nd a spiderweb concept. If you have the patience to figure out how to do it effeciently, then nothing is impossible in casemodding.
do you think i should solder on mobo headers to the psx adapter or just pull it through a pci slot and plug it in externally?
I would say that when using the carbide cutter, go very slow and have a very firm grip as it tends to kick back if you are going too fast. Good luck!
*UPDATE* kk well i cut some more outta the window im hoping to finish on saturday (i gotta wake up early if i wanna finish) What can i do on the other side? a temple? (need a pic) or maybe the amd logo? i dunno i also bondoed some crap on my bezel thats all
ook so i keep it at max speed, and just use 2 hands? ya i was using the high speed cutter (its not suppose to be used on hard metals i think hehe) and ya i was using it on my blow holes and it kicked back like crazy and it looked like there was a bite outta my case from it
*UPDATE* KK i cut the body of the dragon I also did the tail and started some of the head, but no pics of it, i also sanded down my bondoed bezel but when i took a dremel to it, it ripped the bondo off. Does it matter if the bezel is really roughed up? cuz ya it got sanded too, but thats good so the paint can stick to it right? anyways thats all for now, hopefully i can finish at least the dragon tomorow
I would say that you should sand the thing down untill it is smooth but it has some sort of texture to it so the paint can adhere. Well keep it up, good luck wit dem details on tha drizagon
ok well for painting, do i need to take the top off? i dunno if i can trust the machine screws id replace the rivets with since i got a heavy ass case with really little room for the handles to hold onto (due to the blow holes) so after i paint the top, can i tape the sides with painters tape? so i can do the inside and not get any paint on the top? would painters tape peel off the new paint on the top panel?
*UPDATE* kk this was from two days ago cut the tail and most of the head im gonna finish the head later today and maybe finish the arms (doubt it) and i think ill call it chrome dragon? sounds like its been done though
i cut the head out (but f**ked up a bit, the nose was too big) so i bondoed it and i cut 1 1/2 arms pics tomorow
*UPDATE* Yup finished the head (sorta) and started an arm and got one done but it looked funky cuz the whiskers? on the dragons chin were too dam big so i bondoed and im gonna try it again
